Presto Enterprise Mashup Platform

Documentation for version 2.7.0 of the Presto Enterprise Mashup Platform includes an Installation Guide for all editions of Presto, developer and administrator documentation, and release notes. Service Pack 1 is now available at the Mashup Developer Community. See the README document included in the service pack for information on fixes and updates as well as installation instructions for the service pack.

Installation Guide: for the default installation and basic configuration for supported operating systems and application servers for all editions of Presto.

Developer/Administrator Documentation:

The Presto Library is a single source for all Presto documentation. It contains two sections:

• The Administration Documentation section includes installation, deployment and administration instructions for Presto.

• The Developer Documentation section includes overviews, tutorials, help for all Presto applications and connectors, development guides and API reference information.

  • An Introduction to Presto: a brief overview of Presto.

  • Getting Started: tutorials and demos for Presto.

  • Publishing Services with Presto Service Explorer: to publish and manage services in Presto.

  • Publishing and Consuming Services with Presto Connectors: help for working with Presto Connectors for:

    • Dapper, to publish services by web clipping information from web sites.
    • Excel, to publish worksheets as services or consume services in Excel.
    • HP SOA Systinet, to quickly publish services from HP SOA Centers.
    • Portals, to consume services in portlets or mashlets.

  • Simple Mashups with Presto Wires: to create simple mashups visually and create mashlets to use these mashups in web pages or wikis.

  • Advanced Mashups with EMML and Mashup Studio: to create intermediate or advanced mashups using the Enterprise Mashup Markup Language (EMML) and the Mashup Studio, a plug-in for Eclipse.

  • Presto Development: for developer guides for Presto including:

    • Presto Connect to connect to the Mashup Server and consume services.
    • Custom Mashlets developed with the Mashlet API.
    • Event Connector for PEC Clients to connect to the Event Connector and consume services. And PEC Services to implement local event services for the Event Connector.
