JackBe Receives Protection Level 3 Accreditation from the Department of Defense
Presto Certified to Run as an Enterprise Mashup Platform for the US Intelligence Community
Chevy Chase, MD and Fremont, CA - March 3, 2009 - JackBe the leading provider of enterprise mashup software, announced today that the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) has granted the Presto Enterprise Mashup Platform an Authority to Operate at Protection Level 3 / Community of Interest 4 (PL3/COI4) and Certificate to Field. The accreditations permit the use of Presto by all U.S. Government agencies and departments that process intelligence information under the Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/3.
This authorization ensures that enterprise mashups will continue to be implemented and utilized in a safe and efficient manner throughout the government community. As part of the certification process, JackBe’s Presto Enterprise Mashup Platform has been tested and evaluated for its effectiveness related to integration, interoperability and security processes, procedures and mechanisms to satisfy the DCID 6/3 requirements for ensuring adequate protection of intelligence information.
Specific tests verified Presto’s support for secure logins using PKI certificates, dynamic data filtering based on user clearances and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption of all data transferred between client and server, as well as advanced security measures related to logging, passwords, and data transfers. Presto was also integrated with the DoDIIS Identity & Authorization Services (DIAS), an interface that supports identity and authorization permissions based on user status and security levels.
