JackBe Sees Record Growth and Adoption of Enterprise Mashup Solutions in 2008
Chevy Chase, MD and Fremont, CA - February 17, 2009 - JackBe the leading provider of Enterprise Mashup software, is pleased to announce that 2008 proved to be the company’s most successful year to date. Through increased government and commercial market growth, continuous product enhancements, the successful launch of the first Mashup Developer Community, and increased partner engagement, the company continues to lead the market with it’s award-winning Presto Enterprise Mashup Platform.
Presto has become a popular mashup solution for government agencies. At the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), JackBe continues to support one the most mature Enterprise Mashup implementations in any government agency. Based in part on the DIA’s success, as well as Presto’s strong security and integration capabilities, JackBe is now assisting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with a mashup solution for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
JackBe’s commercial successes in 2008 are no less impressive. JackBe’s Enterprise Mashup platform now supports business-critical needs in the publishing, shipping, pharmaceutical, and financial services industries. Notable customer names include industry thought-leaders like Thomson Reuters and Inttra.
JackBe’s continuous product enhancements have given Presto the broadest set of enterprise mashup development choices. The 2.0 and 2.5 releases of Presto Enterprise Edition (EE) have made Presto the most secure and integrated enterprise mashup solution available in the industry. With over 60 features and enhancements, Presto EE supports all enterprise identity and access management systems and is equipped with Connectors to Oracle, HP, Excel and all popular enterprise portals along with Mashup interface options for Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, Adobe’s ActionScript, and other application development environments.
Along with the new version of the Presto Enterprise Edition, the company released a free, full-featured Developer Edition of Presto and launched the Mashup Developer Community (MDC). The MDC reached 1,000 members within weeks by offering the most comprehensive enterprise-focused support for mashup developers.
JackBe's success in 2008 is due in part to its increased partner involvement. JackBe launched the Presto Mashup Ready Program which now has over 20 Mashup ecosystem partners including HP, Capgemini, Layer 7, EnterpriseDB, Backbase, StrikeIron, OpenSpan, Xignite, Dapper, MomentumSI, Ext JS LLC, EMS-Intelligent Chaos and Nuwave Solutions.. JackBe also announced support for Oracle Fusion Middleware and HP’s Governance Interoperability Framework (GIF).
Finally, JackBe appointed 25-year industry veteran Wayne Jackson as its new Chairman of the Board. “JackBe has emerged as a highly regarded thought-leader in the rapidly growing Enterprise Mashup market and I am very excited about the opportunity to work with some of the most creative minds in the Web 2.0 revolution,” said Mr. Jackson. He will work closely with the current executive team and board to position the company in strategic and innovative opportunities. JackBe was also able to secure an additional $5 million in funding from its existing investors in 2008.
