CTO of JackBE, John Crupi spoke in a panel discussion at Cebit 2009. The panel discussion was centered around ‘Cheaper & Faster Software-based Business Solutions with Enterprise Mashups’. This discussion focused on how enterprise mashups can help create faster business solutions at less cost than the current approach of designing and coding new applications. This panel discussion addressed the new wave of application development by highlighting enterprise mashups as a prominent opposition to large scale IT implementations.

In this last day of Mashup Training we got down to the nitty gritty of building enterprise mashups, emphasizing the construction of enterprise mashups with the JackBe Enterprise Mashup Markup Language (EMML), an easy to learn, declarative language for specifying and running enterprise-grade mashups. There were real code samples of example mashups (including a killer Oracle ERP Mashup) as well as mashup sharing in the form of ‘Mashlets™’ (portable mashup UIs). We also consumed mashups through third-party interfaces like Java.
