Presto APIs

Presto has several APIs that you can use in your application to connect to Presto, to extend features and to work with mashlets. Reference documentation for these APIs is available from the links shown below.
Presto Connect

These APIs provide a simple, single interface to any supported service, removing the complexity of working with different service interfaces. Publishing Services with the HP SOA Systinet Connector

The HP SOA Systinet Connector allows you to easily search for and publish services from the HP SOA Systinet Registry to Presto or search for and publish Presto Mashup services to HP SOA Systinet. This connector also allows you to remove published services and to manage the Stored Searches for HP SOA Systinet.

Working with the Portal Connector

The Presto Portal Connector is a portlet producer that you can add to your portal applications to create portlet instances for Presto mashups, services and mashlets. This connector is available in these installation packages for different portal servers:
Any portal that is compliant with the JSR-168 Portlet standard.
Oracle Application Server Portal
WebLogic Portal Server

Working with Mashboard

Mashboard is a sample "dashboard" application installed with Presto that allows users to create and manage their own dashboard with mashlets published in Presto. You can use Mashboard as a demo to help you understand how mashlets can be used within your own applications. Or, you can deploy Mashboard to end users to give them access to mashlets in your organization.

Working with the Mashlet API and Framework

You use the Presto Mashlet API to develop custom mashlets with complete control over the mashlet’s look, feel and behavior. Custom mashlets can invoke Presto services, just as basic mashlets can, but they are not limited to a selection of simple views.
