Presto and ExtJS
Posted 10/29/2008 - 13:22 by kishores
The Presto Mashup platform is all about bridging the gap between the users and the data. Presto provides Developers with the right set of tools to build these bridges in the form of APIs for Java, JavaScript, ActionScript, Flash/Flex, C# and VBA. In this article, I will walk through a sample that uses the Presto-ExtJS integration library.
Ext JS is a leading Javascript framework for building Cross-browser Rich Internet Applications. While the Presto Developer Edition APIs are open and not tied to any specific Javascript framework, we provide an integration library for Ext JS to make it easy for Ext JS developers to quickly integrate Presto in their applications.

Sample Mashup Code - Creating a Custom Wires Macro

In this example I am going to show you how you can create a custom Wires action using EMML Macros.
You can think of a Macro as a normal function on any programming language, this function recieves some parameters, process them and then returns a result. Macros work in the same way as normal functions but they run on EMML. [Read More...]
Pagination in custom mashlets using EXT
Posted 10/21/2008 - 16:30 by mtriner
I noticed in the documentation that there is a way to attach a paginated service to an Ext.Grid. Is there a working example of this using one of the sample services? The documentation seems to be mashlet specific and there are many valid use cases for a paginated service that uses presto connect.

Sample Mashup Code - Creating a Mashlet that uses MIT'S Simile Timeline
Posted 10/14/2008 - 09:28 by Americo Savinon
The other day I was surfing the web and found a very interesting project from the MIT folks, the Simile Timeline. This is a timeline that could show diferrent pieces of events (XML and Json are valid forms of data formats) that will be rendered inside the Timeline. A very cool thing about this library is that it provides drag and drop built-in functionality and you only need to provide the data and define the way you want to create your timeline.

Calling a mashup directly from iGoogle Widget
Posted 10/06/2008 - 09:01 by nimish.bhonsale...
Hi,
Is there a way by which I can call a mashup directly through a IGoogle Widget? I know I can publish a mashup, create a mashlet and include mashlet within an HTML page but is it possible to directly call the mashup and define my own container (iGoogle widget in my case) to display the output.
Thanks.
