Hi, I just installed the developer environment and I'm going throught the Fast Track video (excellent).  I'm on unit 2-2 trying to register the DCcrime WSDL service.  For some reason I cannot find the ftpresto directory nor any dccrime files.  Should that have come with the Presto Developer Edition download?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,

As far as I'm aware,  the developer edition doesn't come with the ftpresto directory that's referenced in the Fast Track video. I think you need to sign up for the FigLeaf training in order to get all of the training collateral. I'm sure one of the JackBe MDC folks will point you in the right direction.

Cheers, Innes

Actually Steve, the entire Fast Track to Presto Enterprise Mashup course that Innes is referring too is all available through video tutorials on the MDC. You do not need register in a separate location. You can find the complete list of tutorial videos on the videos landing page

You do however need the ftpresto zip file attached in the introduction video,'Fast Track to Presto Enterprise Mashups: Introducing the Course'. Inside the zip file contains all the services you need to run the examples. I would recommend quickly reviewing the install instructions Steve provides so that you can ensure the training files are installed in the correct directories.

Hope this helps, let us know if you're having trouble running the examples once you installed the supporting elements.

Thanks!

Steve, as Jess pointed out, the resource files are available in the introduction video.

  1. View video http://www.jackbe.com/videos/training/1-1/index.htm
  2. Click on paperclip (toward bottom right)
  3. Select "Student Files"

The install instructions ( http://www.jackbe.com/videos/training/1-1/data/resources/Appendix_A.pdf?download=true ) are available there too.

These release notes are helpful too http://www.jackbe.com/prestodocs/v2.7.0/presto-release-notes.html
