You have some lovely views available, but I would like to use some custom icons in the map. Is there a way to either modify the Google Map to display my custom icons, or can I create an entirley new map view that uses a different mapping system such as Open Layers? While I have your attention, is there a way to add layers to the map like lines and geometric shapes?
Basically, I want to scribble all over the map so I'm looking for either a way to do it in Google Maps or add a new map system that will allow me to do it.
Out of the box map view comes with basic google map only. You can customize the map by are writing the app using App Editor. You can even use other maps (bing, yahoo) if you want. This requires some basic Javascript programming experience.
