Wayne Jackson

Ken Krieg – Executive Chairman

Ken serves as Executive Chairman of JackBe. Previously, he was the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, with overall responsibility for the Department of Defense’s procurement, research and development, and other major functions. Prior to his appointment as USD (AT&L), he served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense and Director of Program Analysis & Evaluation, leading an organization that advises the Secretary of Defense on defense systems, programs and investment alternatives. In addition, Mr. Krieg worked for International Paper, as Vice President and General Manager of the Office and Consumer Papers Division. He had responsibility for the company's $1.4 billion retail, commercial office, and consumer papers businesses.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Davidson College and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Marc Solomon

Marc Solomon – Chief Operating Officer /
Chief Financial Officer

Marc is responsible for all aspects of the operations, finance, treasury and administrative functions of JackBe. Marc has over 25 years of experience in managing professional services, customer service, raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, financial management, deal structuring and business planning.

Marc started his career at KPMG and has since held CFO and COO positions at Magnet Interactive, Exist Corporation, Outbounder, GlobalServe and served as the General Partner of Agora Enterprises, a venture capital and strategic consulting firm. Marc has extensive industry experience in software, wireless, IT solutions, financial services, energy, consumer products and professional services. During his career, Marc has raised over $100 million in financing and has led both the buy and sale side of M&A transactions. John Crupi

John Crupi - Chief Technology Officer

As CTO, John is entrusted with understanding market forces and the business drivers that impact JackBe’s product innovation and customer success. John has over 20 years of experience in OO and enterprise distributed computing.

Prior to JackBe, John was with Sun Microsystems, serving as a Distinguished Engineer and CTO for Sun's Enterprise Web Services Practice. He is co-author of the highly popular Core J2EE Patterns book, his articles have been published in a variety of technology publications and he is a well-known blogger and speaker. John has been featured on the Fox Business Network, named as a member of the Software Development Magazine's Dream Team and has been selected as a Washingtonian Tech Titan for threee consecutive years. John earned a Master’s degree in engineering administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Elizabeth Edwards

Elizabeth Edwards – Chief Marketing Officer

As CMO, Elizabeth focuses on JackBe’s corporate strategy, business development, marketing and product marketing. As part of the marketing operations, she drives the company's media and industry relations, advertising, interactive programs, communications as well as market and customer research. Elizabeth has multi-faceted background in B-to-B technology marketing with experience in managing international teams and developing go-to-market strategies and pipeline building programs.

Prior to JackBe, Elizabeth served as Vice President, Global Field Marketing for a leading global provider of business process management software and solutions, where she helped grow the company from a start-up to an established firm with revenues of $75 million, now part of OpenText (NASDAQ: OTEX). She has held management positions at Digex now part of Verizon Business (NYSE: VZ), and Manugistics now part of JDA (NASDAQ: JDAS). Michael Barros

Michael Barros – Chief Revenue Officer

As CRO, Mike leads JackBe’s business strategy through to revenue generation by identifying the long-term profitable markets to target our sales execution. This strategy guides JackBe’s go-to-market structure required to deliver market leading products and services to our customers. Mike has a proven record of success over 20 years managing, marketing and selling business software, hardware and service solutions.

Prior to JackBe, Mike most recently served as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing of Inlet Technologies, a company acquired by Cisco Systems, and vice president of sales at Artesia Technologies, a company acquired by OpenText. Mike began his career consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 10 years, where he quickly rose to Director, was recognized as a thought leader in strategy formulation, and led a number of worldwide corporate strategy engagements in multiple industries. Mike earned his undergraduate degree at Carnegie Mellon University and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. Dan Malks

Dan Malks - Vice President,
Application Platform Engineering

As VP of Application Platform Engineering, Dan drives product innovation, technology strategy and delivery of the JackBe product suite. Dan leads the technical delivery of product Add-Ons and Connectors as well as JackBe’s OEM Engineering efforts.

Prior to JackBe, Dan was a Principal Engineer at Sun Microsystems where he was a leader in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and strategic initiatives. Dan led efforts for Sun's top customers, including Sabre and AOL and contributed to countless others. Dan was awarded "Technology Innovator of the Year" for his work leading the development of a global messaging infrastructure for Bono and U2's worldwide Vertigo tour. Dan was also the lead architect for Live8's US mobile messaging infrastructure. Throughout his career, Dan has focused on software patterns and object-oriented technologies. He is a co-author of the book Core J2EE Patterns and also a member of the Editorial Board of the Web 2.0 Journal. Deepak Allure

Deepak Alur - Vice President, Engineering

Deepak leads the highly talented engineering team tasked with timely delivery of JackBe products. Deepak focuses relentlessly on advancing JackBe products based on user-centered design and continuous innovation, relying on his extensive experience of over 20 years in various roles in software design, development and deployment of highly scalable mission-critical enterprise applications for many high-profile companies.

Prior to JackBe, Deepak spent over 10 years at Sun Microsystems as Principal Engineer at Sun Java Center where he led architecture, design and implementation of large-scale Java based enterprise application platforms for Sun's marquee customers including eBay, RouteOne, Ford, McKesson and others. Deepak is also a co-author of the book Core J2EE Patterns: Best Practices and Design Strategies and holds 13 patents. Deepak has a Computer Science and Engineering degree from the University of Mysore, with graduate studies in Computer Science from Stanford University. Deepak may be reached at deepak@jackbe.com.

Jacob Derechin

Jacob Derechin - Co-Founder

Jacob is Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of JackBe Corporation. He is primarily involved in ensuring proper relationships with customers and partners for proper implementation. Mr. Derechin is recognized for his innovative work with internet architecture and technology and for being one of the early pioneers of AJAX responsible for many of the technical innovations for JackBe.

Prior to JackBe, Jacob was CTO of D'Hogar where he led the development of an ERP system supporting more than 32,000 sales professionals and 500,000 customers. He also served as CTO & Chief Software Engineer for Avimed. Jacob studied Systems Engineering at the prestigious Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico City. Kevin Routhier

Kevin Routhier – Vice President, Finance/Controller

As JackBe’s VP of Finance/Controller Kevin has the day to day responsibility for the accounting, treasury and administrative functions of the company. Kevin brings over 15 years of accounting experience to his role. Prior to JackBe, Kevin was International Development Controller at the Mills Corporation, a publicly traded real estate investment trust now part of Simon Property Group, where he was responsible for the cost management of several active development projects outside the United States and rendering financial statements for their operations in Canada.

Prior to the Mills Corporation, Kevin spent 9 years at Marriott International (MAR) in several positions, including Director of Finance and Accounting. Michael Ho

Michael Ho - Vice President, Professional Services

Michael is responsible for the delivery of JackBe services in support of the successful implementation of all JackBe product offerings. He is also heavily involved in business development, both with JackBe's existing client base as well as new prospective customers. Prior to JackBe, Michael worked at Network Solutions across several business units, including Sales Operations and Software Engineering. Throughout his career, Michael has always been deeply involved in end-to-end go-to-market strategy, specializing in creating industry leading user-facing solutions. Michael earned his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, where he conducted research in the Bioinformatics field prior to joining the software industry.
